Parable Of The Ten Talents
A vassal is very important personality, landlord or military officer to a king.

Then Jesus spoke a parable to all. He said, “A vassal of an emperor was made a king, and he went to the foreign land to claim his rights and take the kingdom to himself. Before he went, he called ten trusted servants and to each he gave a pound and said, ‘Go forth and use these pounds as you have opportunity, that you may gain for me more wealth,’ and then he went his way.

And after many days he came again, and called the ten, demanding a report.
The first one came and said, ‘Lord, I have gained nine pounds. You gave me one and here are ten.’
The king replied, ‘Well done, you faithful man. Because you have been faithful in a little thing I judge that you will be a faithful servant in a greater thing.
Behold, I make you ruler over nine important cities of my realm.’

The second came and said, ‘Lord, I have gained for you four pounds. You gave me one, and here are five.’
The king replied, ‘And you have proven your faithfulness. Behold, I make you ruler over four important cities of my realm.’

Another came and said, ‘Lord, I have doubled what you gave to me. You gave one pound to me, and here are two.’
The ruler said, ‘And you have proved your faithfulness. Behold, I make you ruler over one important city of my realm.’

Another came and said, ‘Lord, here is what you gave to me. I knew you were a rigid man, often reaping where you did not sow, and I was sore afraid, and so I took the pound you gave to me and hid it in a secret place. And here it is.’

The king exclaimed, ‘You lazy man! You knew what I required, that I expected every man to do his best. If you were timid and afraid to trust your judgment in the markets of trade, why did you not go forth and put my money out for gain, that I could have my own with interest?’
Then turning to the steward of his wealth the ruler said, ‘Take you this pound from him and give it unto him who has by diligence earned nine.’ For lo, I say, that everyone who uses what he has and gains, shall have abundantly. But he who hides away his talent in the earth shall forfeit what he has.”

For to everyone who has, more will be given, and he will have abundance; but from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away.

Explanations

The wise and faithful servants are those people, who come to the world, and do exactly what God had sent them to do. They complete their destiny and return as glorious and victorious saints to heaven, where they are highly exalted, rewarded and promoted to occupy great thrones and rule great kingdoms.

They receive more and more powers of the Holy Spirit, because they were faithful and diligent in using the little given to them here on earth.

The foolish and lazy servant refers to all the religious leaders and ministers of God, who hide what they know and fail to teach others. They think that they are being wise. They pride themselves of what they know and feel that by their knowledge they are superior to all others. Indeed, they are the foolish and lazy servant who hid his talent in the ground, without making any profit from it. The same is true of all the people, who have received various powers of the Holy Spirit from God, but are not making use of the spiritual talents. They lose what they have and become poorer day by day.

The parable also refers to what happens in all areas of life and all fields of human endeavour. The selfish people think that they are making more money and accumulating more wealth, without knowing that the doors of blessings, favours, success and prosperity are closing more and more against them.

1.     One several occasions, religious leaders have interpreted this parable for you.

2.     But, they fail to tell you that you are the servant who refuse to use his talents.

3.     Many are not doing God’s work.

4.     So many men whose wives are ministers of God do not allow their wives to do God’s work.

5.     Both schools and offices are not listening to or obeying the messages and directives from God.

6.     Each person is like the parable of the destructive child, because they are busy destroying every good thing without remorse, without restraint and without repentance.

7.     The film actors and musicians are busy doing everything called immorality despite sermons, preaching and warnings. And the youths follow after them, without minding the future consequences and calamities.
